Press Release by the management of the Ikeja City Mall about the
fire incident this morning.
The management of
the Ikeja City Mall is very grateful to the Lagos State Fire Service and its security team that
responded to the fire incident that occurred this morning (27 February 2018) at
about 12:20 am in Shawarma & Co; one of the stores in ICM.
The State Fire Service responded and contained
the fire in less than 10 minutes, according to Mr. Steve Idornigie, the
Operations Manager of the mall. “The mall management team were very swift in
averting what could have been a precarious situation and we would like to thank
everyone involved for their professionalism and timely response”, he said.
There were no casualties and no significant
damages recorded. Normal trading has resumed this morning at 9am.
