CELEBRATING NIGERIA @ 54 IN STYLE

Independence Day at ICM was a blast today! It was fun from the onset as City FM and MC Bonus engaged the shoppers to a thrilling Independence Day experience.

DJ Gunzee thrilled the audience alongside City FM On Air Personalities, exhibiting mastery of his craft as there was no dull moment. It all started at about 11am with shoppers encouraged to take pictures with friends and family against a huge backdrop with the independence theme “Believe in Nigeria, Believe in ICM”. The turnout was huge. Then along came the king sized cakes by Melting Moments to complete the celebration theme.

MC Bonus took over proceedings shortly after the DJ teased the shoppers with a glimpse of what to expect throughout the independence celebration. Amidst laughter from jokes he shared with the crowd, Bonus alongside a City FM's Uche Agbai intermittently anchored the “spot the flag” game in which the audience were expected to search for 20 unique Nigerian flags around ICM. Shoppers were only given the name of the stores as clues which included Silverbird Cinema, Bruno’s Place, Melting Moments, Seven Eagle Spur, Wrangler, Kidz Country, Glo and Maybrands. Two flags were placed in strategic areas in these stores. Interestingly, all flags were spotted and the winners’ details were collected and will be called later and handed their prizes including gifts worth N15,000 each.

City FM also gave shoppers the opportunity to send out goodwill messages to Nigeria and “shout outs” to friends and family. The photo booth was always busy as many shoppers couldn’t wait to get a shot and an instant copy of the shot.

In all, it was a fun filled day in ICM. The goal was to celebrate this great country in style and focus on the positives. And that is exactly what ICM in collaboration with City FM did today.

However, the independence promo is still on. Shoppers are encouraged to spend N25,000 or more in any of the ICM stores to stand a chance to win cash prizes. They include N150,000 for first place, N75,000 and N50,000 for the second and third place respectively.All you have to do is include your contact details at the back of your receipt and drop at the designated boxes at the entrance to the mall.

Once again, ICM will like to congratulate Nigeria and all Nigerians all over the world as they celebrate this great African nation at 54.
